"Beware of false prophets,
who come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly are ravening wolves.
By their fruits you will know them.
Do you gather grapes from thorns,
or figs from thistles?
Even so, every good tree produces good fruit;
but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
A good tree can't produce evil fruit,
neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit
is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,'
will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven;
but he who does the will
of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will tell me in that day,
'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name,
in your name cast out demons,
and in your name do many mighty works?'
Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you.
Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'" MATT. 7:1-5


Do your actions match your words? Are your motives pure? Choices driven by less than honorable desires will be born out in the results. Sincere actions prompted from a pure heart produce true life. What will the consequences of your actions be? What kind of fruit do you see? Before you act, search your heart and be sure you are acting on the leading of the Holy Spirit and not your own selfish motivations.

Precious Father, may I do your will that my words line up with my works. May I produce fruit resulting from having a heart that wants to please you and make you happy.

"Then Yahweh said to me, 'The prophets prophesy lies in my name; I didn't send them, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke I to them: they prophesy to you a lying vision, and divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their own heart.'" ~ "Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive: Therefore you shall no more see false visions, nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand; and you shall know that I am Yahweh." ~ "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." ~ "For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is well pleasing to the Lord. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of." ~ "This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment; so that you may approve the things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ; being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God." ~ "For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead." ~ "Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water." ~ "Therefore bring forth fruit worthy of repentance!"
