Jesus' words open the door to the Bible: And the Lord said to Moses, Write these words, for after the purpose and character of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel. So they read from the Book of the Law of God distinctly, faithfully amplifying and giving the sense so that the people understood the reading.
Exodus 34:27; Nehemiah 8:8

Words are simply containers for a message. Jesus' words have as much significance today as the day they were spoken. His message is as relevant today because human nature does not change even though circumstances may be different. When you see practical life application in Jesus' message, you will have a greater tendency to claim his promises for yourself, relate them to your life, and put them into practice.

God's word is congruent, constantly supporting itself. Jesus often referred to other scripture when delivering his message. Therefore, each daily contains scripture passages that work in tandem with what Jesus is saying because God has already said it somewhere else in His Word. Find friendship with Jesus through his words. Put his words into practice to see your life change.
